percent of that collection in this week's program, the fourth in an
occasional series. |

Bloomsday Centennial: Music of James Joyce's Dublin |

| James Joyce's great novel of a day in the life of Dublin, "Ulysses," was
set on June 16, 1904, the day Joyce first dated his future wife Nora
Barnacle. As Dublin celebrates the centennial of its most famous literary
day with a summer-long series of events, we commemorate Joyce's chosen day
with music from Dublin, about Dublin, and referred to in the novel,
including the voice of James Joyce himself. |
